Cordia Forte, Design Principal and owner of Inspired Home Designs, has been involved in the construction industry for over 30 years along with her husband.  Her interest in creating beautifully timeless, well-functioning environments for residential and commercial spaces led her to the field of Interior Design over ten years ago.  Over that time, her design career has lead her to a variety of residential and commercial projects throughout the Chicagoland area.  Cordia's ability to listen and relate to her clients has been her trademark and is of utmost importance to her design style.  She believes her clients are partners with her in the design process and that together they offer the inspiration for a successful project.

Cordia lives with her family in Chicago’s historic Bronzeville neighborhood in a land marked Victorian home built in 1884.  She designed and oversaw the complete gut rehab renovation of that home from 1997 through 1998, mixing modern conveniences with Victorian era charm.  Since then, the home has been featured by the Mid-South Planning Commission’s annual Historic Home Tour and has been the site of many social, political and charitable events. 

Cordia received her design education at Harrington Institute of Interior Design (2001) and also holds a B.A. in Communications from Columbia College Chicago.
